Darren Craddock: One thing I like to begin with is that when people come to see me as their health care practitioner- they often come in griping their belly saying: my stomach hurts. There is a lot of misconceptions out there as to where different parts of our body are. And the stomach is actually just beneath the ribcage on the left hand side beneath the heart, so when people grab their belly and they say that the stomach is hurting, they are actually in the wrong place.

Most people seem to experience a lot of digestive discomfort in the colon whether it be part of the intestine –the small intestine or the large intestine- the colon is the large intestine. It’s the last 5-6 feet of your intestinal system before you –obviously- excrete waist matter in the form of feces.

There is a combination of different things that there could be. I mean a lot of people –depending on where it is- if it is in the colon- normally it is related to constipation –for most of the part but it can also be related to parasites. If it is a really, really bad ache it could be the appendix that is giving them problem.
There is a multitude of health issues related specifically to the colon: it is estimated that probably 1 in every 2 people in this country alone have pollux in their colon in one size or another. The colon is a series of bulb shaped muscles stacked one on top of the other, all connected and they call those haustra and those muscles…if food get stuck in the colon, food material or even feces, and it is are not able to get out the constipation, eventually it hardens and can cause …pushes on the side of the colon wall and then the skin of the colon wall will often bulb out and some of that waist material will then stay inside –what we call- diverticulosis.
Diverticulitis is when waist material in the formed diverticualar becomes inflamed because it actually causes an infection. It is very common! If you are developing an infection and you are retaining toxic material inside you colon in these pollux and all of the colon –and small intestine- is fed by capillaries that absorb water and absorb vitamins, or if you have toxic material in there then your body is reabsorbing toxins because of the fact that it is accumulating in the pollux.
Colon cleansing is a healthy and safe way to clean out your digestive tract and restore the natural balance of your intestinal system. Always drink more than enough filtered water and never use a stimulant based laxative.
