Many people wonder about how what they eat might affect their spirit. Others have rarely or never contemplated this subject. Just think back to the last time you overate. Could you have seen yourself praying, meditating, thinking harmonious thoughts or visiting a place you consider spiritual with that heavy bloated feeling? Ultimately the way we feel has a great impact upon how ready we are to devote ourselves to matters of the spirit.

How we feel affects the way we interact with others, the way we treat ourselves and the way we treat everything and everyone around us. I would venture to say that the way we feel is dramatically affected by how well or not we nourish our bodies and minds.

The closer we get to nourishing ourselves naturally with whole foods, grains, plants etc.. the better we feel and this has a measurable result on how we relate to others, ourselves and our spirits.

How can what you eat determine what you become?

Well for one thing, what you eat determines not only your overall health & longevity but the way you feel and look at the world. What are you creating.

We know kids that don’t eat breakfast learn slower and retain less info. We also know that lack of nutrition created cognitive problems in kids and adults. When you choose to undernourish your body you are also choosing a negative biological mental outlook.

Before you skip breakfast, eat crap for lunch or suck back another cola, pause to consider that your choice, altho not immediately obvious, is effecting more than your weight – it is creating who you are in the world. You don’t need to be a hard core health food choose good nutrition, in fact this one decision could make a world of difference in becoming the person you want to be.

Diverticulatis strikes millions...

In Western countries, diverticular disease most commonly involves the sigmoid colon – section 4 – (95% of patients). The prevalence of diverticular disease has increased from an estimated 10% in the 1920s to between 35 and 50% by the late 1960s. 65% of those currently 85 years of age and older can be expected to have some form of diverticular disease of the colon. Less than 5% of those aged 40 years and younger may also be affected by diverticular disease.

There is a combination of different things that there could be. I mean a lot of people –depending on where it is- if it is in the colon- normally it is related to constipation –for most of the part but it can also be related to parasites. If it is a really, really bad ache it could be the appendix that is giving them problem.


There is a multitude of health issues related specifically to the colon: it is estimated that probably 1 in every 2 people in this country alone have pollux in their colon in one size or another. The colon is a series of bulb shaped muscles stacked one on top of the other, all connected and they call those haustra and those muscles…if food get stuck in the colon, food material or even feces, and it is are not able to get out the constipation, eventually it hardens and can cause …pushes on the side of the colon wall and then the skin of the colon wall will often bulb out and some of that waist material will then stay inside –what we call- diverticulosis.


Diverticulitis is when waist material in the formed diverticualar becomes inflamed because it actually causes an infection. It is very common! If you are developing an infection and you are retaining toxic material inside you colon in these pollux and all of the colon –and small intestine- is fed by capillaries that absorb water and absorb vitamins, or if you have toxic material in there then your body is reabsorbing toxins because of the fact that it is accumulating in the pollux.
