Elimination of diabetes has been a strenuous endeavor especially to healthcare professionals who want to make breakthroughs in the diabetes milieu. Green supplement is a sure remedy that have been proven and tested for efficiency and relevance.

There was a dramatic decrease of the level of fasting blood glucose of the patients. There level of postprandial blood glucose was likewise deteriorating compared to what has been recorded in prior experimentation period.

In recent years a measure has emerged on the holistic health scene for balance and harmony within the body and in is becoming widely recognized as a true measure of health.  This measure is the acid alkaline balance also known as pH balance in the body.

Research has indicated that too much acidity (or acidosis) all too commonly arising from the standard American diet has serious implications for impaired digestion, immunity and chronic disease.

Its been scientifically acknowledged by researchers that  blood must maintain a state of slight alkalinity for the body’s proper functioning and almost all of our crucial physiological operations including immunity, digestion and cardiovascular as well as most of our metabolic processes and enzyme reactions require a slightly alkaline internal environment.

The number of people in America having  overly acidic body chemistry is generally considered to be higher than 90% .The typical American diet is  composed of foods that are either  highly acidic in their chemical makeup or once eaten cause an acidic reaction in the body. Fried overly processed high sugar foods — plus animal proteins - stimulate the stomach to produce acid. Our highly stressful often sedentary with little or no exercise compounds the problem.

If all this isn’t enough the many medications we take in the course of our daily life, from aspirin to cough syrup increase significantly the acidity in the body. The commonest affect of an over acidic body on our disposition is a feeling of low energy tiredness and often depression.

Our immunity becomes lowered, inflammatory conditions increase loss of some very vital minerals such as calcium magnesium and potassium opening us to major health problems such as heart disease and osteoporosis.

What’s the solution?

Except for a small percentage of the population that has the right pH balance and an even smaller percentage (less than 1%) that may be over alkaline, almost everyone nowadays is acidic. The only question is how acidic.  This can be easily determined by the use of pH test paper and checking the saliva for pH balance. The test must be continued for a few days to be sure. As the paper by changes color to either yellow (acidic) or blue (alkaline) or staying neutral (green) one can determine body’s pH balance. The same test can be performed for the urine also.

Once having determined that ones body is acidic one can embark on a regimen of diet and a more stress free lifestyle to bring about a more alkaline state .By eating alkaline forming vegetables, specially more greens, preferring whole foods to processed foods and replacing red meats with fish, organic poultry and plant based proteins, one can achieve a good acid alkaline balance in a short time. Green foods and supplements like alfalfa, chlorella and spirulina offer nutrient rich ways to increase alkalinity in the body. Some commercially available green foods also have adaptogenic and antioxidant herbs like Ashwagandha (white asparagus root) or vitamins and minerals added to the formula to counteract some of the affects of a stressful lifestyle to further help in maintaining a healthy pH balance in the body.

It’s also good to familiarize oneself with some of the common alkaline forming foods. Citrus fruits and vinegar (specially apple cider) even though acidic in themselves cause an alkaline reaction in the body  Almonds and cashews are good alkalizers, so are avocados and pineapples. Unprocessed sea salt as well as Himalayan rock salt are generally considered to be alkaline as opposed to processed table salt which is acid forming.

Enzymes also help the body reach optimal pH. Enzyme supplements can be used. These products may contain amylase, cellulose, lipase and protease blends plus minerals and herbs like marshmallow.  A balance internal environment falls between 6.5 and 7.5 and maintaining this   slightly alkaline internal stat may be the real key to higher state of health and well being.

Monsanto trying to stop important labeling on MILK!

rBST-free or rBGH-free is that the question? We are talking about an already diluted labeling requirement for what I consider ‘tainted’ milk through the use of genetically modified substances.  Talk about substance abuse, these guys need to be stopped and stopped quickly!

What Monsanto is really concerned about is not the GM component but the ‘r’, which means ‘recombined’ - Not a natural state of milk.  Research is saying this kind of milk probably isn’t too good for you either.  Monsanto wants the ban the rb…-free part.  Why would they want to do that?  Maybe folks are waking up to facts now and avoiding these GM foods with a passion?  Maybe all this is cutting into their profits?  We would hope so!   Companies like this and a few others come to mind, Brown & Root/ Halliburton, should be shut down immediately.  These companies want to alter the world in ways that will make it difficult for us to live.

Please watch this video, it is pretty graphic so please don’t let you young children see this. However, as a people we can add this to the list of crimes against humanity that are being committed on a daily basis by our elected officials, from the President down.

This list is long and absolutely criminal, at least in my opinion.  From War in Iraq without Congressional approval to the ‘monetization’ of bankruptcy by the Federal Reserve to the atrocities that occur daily in the name of We the People!  Folks it is time to stand up and voice your total disapproval.  Find ways to band together and make a difference.  As long as we feel that we have no power - WE WON’T HAVE ANY!!!

GM FOODS…What we didn’t know!

I am no expert on GM Foods or GMOs, but I don know that after reading parts of ‘Seeds of Deception’ and ‘Generic Roulette’, both by Jeffrey Smith, I am madder than hell and I for one am not going to take it anymore!

Did you know that the FDA said that GM Foods were safe way back in the early 1990 without ANY TRULY SCIENTIFIC TESTING?  They basically just took the word of the BioTech companies.

Did you know that these foods and foods containing GMOs have been on the shelf since just after that FDA ruling?

Did you know that 89% of the soy crop is GM in the U.S.?  Soy in some form is in virtually everything…

Did you know that 60% of the corn crop is GM in the U.S.?  Look at your labels, does it say high fructose corn syrup or any other type of corn derivative…well you just bought a GM Food!

Did you know that 75% of the Canola crop in the U.S. is GM?  When was the last time you noticed something without canola oil in you processed food?

Did you know that 50% of the Hawaiian papaya crop is GM?

Did you know that dairy cows injected with rbGH mean you are getting GM in your dairy products?

Did you know that the Food Industry continues to dilute the Organic Food standards so that they can use less than organic inputs into their products?   This folks mean business, SHOULDN’T WE?

Did you know that Congress has not required ANY COMPANY TO LABEL THEIR PRODUCTS AS CONTAINING GM FOODS OR GMO INGREDIENTS?  We will never know what we are eating!  Only products labeled as Organic or Non-GMO, cannot knowingly use GM Foods or GMO ingredients.

Did you know that NO ONE BUT THE POLITICIANS AND BUREAUCRATS WORLDWIDE knew that this was happening until 1999, when the news broke in a somewhat sensational way in the UK?

Did you know that Monsanto is on the record as wanting to ‘patent or copyright’ all seeds so that everyone worldwide would have to come to them to grow food crops?

Did you know that there is now DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE that GM crops can cause illnesses and could cause as yet unidentified health conditions and could also be responsible for a number of ‘epidemic’ conditions in our country, not to mention other countries worldwide, today?

Did you know that at least one ‘health condition’ has been directly linked to a GM Product here in the U.S.?

Have you asked yourself why this information is NOT in the news and more importantly WHY WE THE PEOPLE AREN’T MAD AS HELL ABOUT IT, THE JUMPING UP AND DOWN KIND OF MAD, and putting our representatives; school boards,  local, state and federal representatives, that this is going to change and change right now?Not wanting to sound like some ‘crazy conspiracy theorist’ but I have to tell you that this entire situation is ripe with obvious collusion between Politicians, Bio Tech Companies and Pharmaceutical companies to ’spin’ the bad news about GMOs in an attempt to fool the public about what is really happening.

Did you know the Big Pharmaceutical companies are major investors in Bio Technology?

Did you know that many scientists, at least the ones not in the employ of Big Pharma or Bio Tech Companies, have either serious reservations about the direction genetic engineering is going and the safety of products already on the market, or outright opposition to the continued sale of such products to the public?

Did you know that these BioTech companies and their investors continue to mislead us in just about every possible manner?

Let’s see here, BioTech companies invent new food crops which can over the long term potentially be the cause of some pretty unhealthy long term conditions (ADHD, lower intestinal disorders, allergies, obesity to name but a few) which require ‘medical treatments’ (read drug therapy) for the unknowing and apparently unsuspecting public, which in this case could be a HUGE SEGMENT OF THE POPULATION OF THIS COUNTRY and the world.  The Big Pharma companies then make just a ton more money AND ARE VIRTUALLY GUARANTEED A VERY STEADY INCOME STREAM FOREVER (or at least as long as the population is being poisoned).

Does that sound plausible? If you think these companies have your best interests at heart — THINK AGAIN AND DO IT QUICKLY!!  Watch the video, ‘All Jacked Up’ .

Now for the really important part:  What can we do about this?

  1. Educate yourself, we have to do this first
  2. Inform your local school boards and get them to educate themselves - get - these foods off the school menus (the largest short and long term health risk from these foods is to our children)
  3. Communicate with your neighbors, your state and federal representatives.  Tell them what you know and what you want them to do about it!  Sign petitions etc.
  4. Be aware that the FDA and your Congress continue to try to pull the wool over our eyes and empower these companies to continue to deceive us and contaminate our food supply!
  5. VOTE with your dollars. Just don’t buy anything other than organic products.  If the food companies see that there is a public outcry and their GM products are not selling…they will take them off the shelf!

Why we eat the way we do? Part 1

Have you ever finished something you were eating and thought; why did I ever eat that? Perhaps a moment of lucid conscious awareness populated your discerning mind for a brief moment in the otherwise routine blur of life. The big question is, how aware are we, if at all, of what gets past our lips on an inward journey, or even an outward one if we want to add another dimension to this discussion.

The truth of the matter in my estimation, is that we mostly eat driven by hunger or habit, compulsion or craving, yet rarely with any concern over desired beneficial outcome. That is to say, we hardly ever consider whether what we are eating, or drinking, for that matter, is going to truly nourish us in any manner. I would say then, that deepening our present awareness over the act of preparing, eating and drinking, could potentially have a radically beneficial effect over our health and that of all those we come into contact with.

Where do we start, you might ask. I believe we start with the conscious decision to take a little time, time to decide what we want out of food and drink and whether we are truly deciding upon our wants based upon a true desire to nurture self or other desires that have the reverse effect. Let us take the desire to eat something sweet for example. Do we choose a sweet thing to purely satisfy a craving or could we take this inner voice as a message that our bodies need something.

If we take the time to consider, rather that merely reaching for the closest, easiest and often least healthy item, then perhaps we can listen a little longer to that inner voice and with a little luck, determine a truer approximation of what our bodies would most benefit from. We could call this the eating of awareness. Maybe we would then choose a sweet, natural fruit, instead of a cookie.Tune in for the next part in a few days, when we shall muse over what do do with this new found awareness.
